Two have damage (initially) localised to the power switch and the third (middle in the photo) has corrosion on battery terminals, switch, display ribbon, volume wheel, volume port and on the cart loader. I'd best check the flip sides...Permalink On twitter.com

Flip sides - where the main CPU lives - on all three are generally good. The one with the snapped power switch is clean throughout. The (top one, left in this pic) has corrosion around the start/select pads which I'll need to test and fix.Permalink On twitter.com

So this is the first reason none of them turn on: there's a tiny copper slice that bridges the power on/off pads. It sits inside the groove of the power switch, and when corrosion sits in there long enough, that tiny copper slice just gets eaten away.Permalink On twitter.com
