    1. I've fond memories of my Spectrum as a kid, and it's quite possibly responsible for some of my tech acumen, but good lord, looking at the screenshots on the back of the tapes was very much "…And look at what you *could have* won!"

    This one was a big one for me. I used just stare at this guy on the cover (and yep, 80s images of men has done a real number on me) and would image the game play. I never bought the game though, intentionally -

      Because the in-game images we this, and, well, if there were ever a balance for the over compensating dude on the cover, this sad image was definitely it!
