      A few big cuts and trying to follow a video online. The biggest issue was the size of the block way about an inch too large in all directions.

        Started to shave off the edges and the bear started to come out - but still very bulky and at this point I was considering giving up.

          Picked it up more recently and gave the character a face, which helped me start to see the end in sight.

            Finished cutting the other day, and sanded today, added some bees wax and a touch of paint for the eyes and I'm calling it done. I see the mistakes but I think the boy will like it.
