  1. Bought a faulty Xbox one controller (for the boy and PC), the dpad down didn't work - which was fine for his needs. Tool me a while, but found the culprit: teeny tiny broken trace. Now to restore…STEADY HANDS!

      I should add that that scratching is my worked to expose the trace (so I could test and confirm it's actually broken) - fibre glass brush - hate the things.

      Third attempt and it's attached and continuity is getting from the diode near the dpad and the junction on the chip it was supposed to get to. Now: trim and hopefully don't break teeny tiny wire 😱
