Proof that our industry is still immature/young and still making it harder for everyone instead of easier: we're using JavaScript to load images. To load a blurred one first, then JS to load actual content (and you'll be lucky if you get the blurred one without JS).

I love using JavaScript for development, but I also love browsing the web and enjoying amazing content without having to wait for JS to be done loading all the extra crap before it gives me the content that's just bytes for <img>. How did we make this web for ourselves?!
