  1. Pretty sure this is just me (and other grumpy old folk): when I see a switch statement in JavaScript (in particularly) I can't help but first think "WHHHY" then "surely this is simpler as a set of if statements" then typically "gosh I'm tired" then "hmm, what was I just doing…?"
