      1. Just discovered that there's a bug in Firefox's 8bit bmp colour handling (renders the wrong palette values). It turns out it's 9 years old. The net effect (for me) is using a chroma-like key (magenta = transparent) doesn't work in FF. Because magenta isn't magenta, it's FF01FB.

      Oh wow. So more to this, again, think it's limited to BMPs with palette index, but the entire range of FFxxFF is borked. No matter what colours I put in, R is correct, G and B are shifted.

    PNG8 are not affected. The palette index looks to be read correctly.
