  1. I've not only found the first code I had running in a browser, I've been *able* to run it and capture what it looked like. Sadly it was <applet class="…"> but still, the thing started as a professor's mapping project, and I hacked it until it did this:

          Oh wait, it wasn't 1998, it was '97 - I did it after my first term of y1. Wow, that code is 22 years old.
