  1. As a school holiday project, the boy and I are going to (or *hope* to) build a clock. Might use a pendulum, might use a tuning fork, not sure I've got the chops to use a quartz rock. Otherwise, any useful ideas or tips?

      TIL quartz frequencies for watches run at 32768hz because it's 2 ** 15 and 2 ** 14 would be inside the human hearing range.
